To be Christ-like...

What if you had the power to completely control someone else's life? Would you be more careful with it?; or would you have certain expectations of that person, being that you are the holder and their everything? Let's be honest. Even if that person spit in your face and totally denied that you ever had anything to do with them, would you still do nice things for them?; or would you be spiteful and do horrible things to get revenge?

So often we take advantage of God's love for us. We walk all over Him and honestly think that no matter what we do, it won't make a difference because He'll love us anyway; and He will, but why take advantage of that? Paul said that wherever there is sin, there is grace; but not to take advantage of that, because grace is not a license to sin. In other words, we're human so we're going to sin naturally, and regardless... And Jesus died on the cross for that reason, but that doesn't mean we are to use it as an excuse to sin. I felt that I should talk about this a little bit because so many people mis-judge the actions of Christians, and think that they have to be perfect. The motives of a Christian are always to please God, but mistakes are made in the process... We're all human, therefore we all have the same sin-nature... it's how we control and how we react to those instincts that set us apart from the worldly way of things.

Anyway. Hope this wasn't boring and actually stuck in someone's mind.
I'm off to relax with the hubby before bed. <3>
